Music Class

The students below are members of Lyon School Recorder Ensemble directed by Mrs. Johnson. The students were practicing hard and really sounded great!

PTO Meeting

Lyon Elementary had its PTO meeting on September 5. Eighty –five parents was in attendance. Refreshments were served and door prizes were given away. Parents were able to visit classrooms, have conferences with teachers, and pick up progress reports.

Lunch with Grandparents

Lyon elementary also celebrated Grandparent’s Day on September 7. Ms. Hall allowed the students to invite their grandparents to school to have lunch with them. Thirty grandparents attended this event. The children really seemed to enjoy it.

 

Behavior chart

Good behavior rocks!! Some of the students received a reward for getting eight out of ten stickers over a two week period. This past Friday the students were rewarded with nachos and movie.

The bookmarker winners

Mrs. Vincent, the librarian, allowed the students to participate in a bookmark competition and she chose a winner from each grade.

9/11 Assembly

Americorp workers put together an assembly in remembrance of the people who lost their lives on September 11. The guest speaker was Mr. Vassel.
